With those words, Fred Mueller & Phil Yurgae created Mueller Yurgae Associates in 1975.
What is Mueller Yurgae Associates?
Back then, we were a family-owned start-up candy & snack broker. We employed six people and sold candy & snacks for a commission. Today, we are still family-owned. We still have the same owners -- Fred's retired, and the rest of us are all just a littler older! We employ over 100 people and sell a full range of consumer products. Our product offering includes groceries, snacks, candy, general merchandise products, and much more!
In 1984, Mueller Yurgae Associates created Diversified Distributing, again, to “fill a niche.”
What is Diversified Distributing?
Back then, Diversified Distributing allowed Mueller Yurgae Associates customers an easier method of getting their products. Today, we do the same thing, only with more products! Back then, a used 40-foot semi-trailer was our warehouse. Today, we have a 20,000 square foot warehouse in central Iowa.
In 2004, YourFoodStore.com was created. Why? ... “To fill a niche.”

Your Food Store is an online fulfillment center for a wide array of consumer products. We have found many of the products we sell are unique and hard to find in other parts of the country. So we created YourFoodStore.com to bring to you an easy method of purchasing these products! We sell our products to you at a good price... with the same "family business" service and ethics that has served us so well for 30 years.
